Description
When Ari's mother died, she had two wishes: that Ari and her older brother, Gage, would stay together, and that Ari would go to Carter, the school for gifted students. When Gage decided he could no longer live with their guardian, Ari went with him. But Gage didn't have an apartment so they stayed with friends or sneaked into juvenile shelters. All this jumping around made it hard for Ari to do her schoolwork and getting into Carter seemed impossible. Will Ari break one of her promises to Mama?
