Description
Mark Elliott is an American journalist stationed in the Orient during the Korean War. Han Suyin is a Eurasian doctor, the widow of a Chinese officer. The two meet in Hong Kong and are irresistably drawn to each other in spite--or perhaps partly because--of the different worlds they call home. Cultural obstacles prove insurmountable, however, when it comes to winning family approval for their relationship. When Elliott must travel away from Hong Kong to cover the war in Korea, the two are left with only the memory of their love to bind them together.
