Description
On Thursday May 22, 2008, Lamar Colorado recorded an exceedance of the twenty-four-hour PM10 standard with a concentration of 227 ug/m3 at the Lamar Power Plant. Sustained winds and gusts in eastern and southeastern Colorado exceeded blowing dust criteria. Winds at Lamar were above the blowing dust thresholds for several hours on May 22, and gusts were as high as 58 mph.

Description
Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) is used to determine the maximum amount of a pollutant that a water body may receive and still maintain water quality standards. The mainstem of Silver Creek from a point immediately below the Town of Ricos water supply diversion to the confluence with the Dolores River is included in the 2006 303(d) list for exceeding the Aquatic Life use standards for zinc and cadmium.
Description
This policy addresses the Water Quality Control Commission's methodology and rationale for developing water temperature criteria and standards for the protection of aquatic life in Colorado's surface waters. Colorado's temperature criteria are in the process of being revised and this policy records the incremental progress towards final criteria.
